Imperfect or I’mperfect
Expectations and reactions…
Led to botherations and more expectations
I tried to become exceptional
But could never come up to the expectations….
Become a little smarter dear,
Please don’t try to act too smart.
Why can’t you be little more confident?
O Gosh! Don’t be so over confident.
You are so timid, people will cheat you,
You are so aggressive, people will beat you.
Don’t take things so lightly,
Why can’t you take things a bit lightly?
Why don’t you wear more of Brights?
You look very awesome in lights.
Don’t behave as if so fragile,
Now… you are being too agile.
You are messy in most of your affairs,
You are too fussy in all your affairs.
It went on and on and on….
I know I am not perfect in your eyes,
Neither are you in my eyes.
Why can’t you accept me as I am?
Why can’t you respect me for what I am...?
For me-
I am not imperfect
Rather I’ m perfect.
So dear, love me or leave me….
I am happy as I am
I don’t want to change...I don’t want to change.

We cannot actually make everyone happy by changing ourselves. If we change ourselves for someone we will find another set of people who will find some scope for change in us and in the long run we ourselves will be
dissatisfied with what we have made of ourselves. I have used personal pronoun ‘I’ since it goes very well with imperfect, changing it to I’m perfect and it has nothing to do with the personal experience.
