It seems it was just yesterday
I had a sweet little toddler making my day.
It was fun running around with him,
But today it is difficult to keep pace with him.
Today he is a grown up boy though only ten,
But his thoughts are like ten plus ten.
At times he doesn’t behave his age and I feel oh! How immature,
But the very next moment he astonishes me and I feel wow! How mature.
He studies a lot but doesn’t want to write,
He feels what he says is always right.
He is fond of watches and talks about cars,
For him toys don’t have any age bar.
Though he is very thoughtful and very caring,
But he doesn’t believe in any sharing.
He is an emotional person not at all strong,
But never forgets to say sorry whenever he is wrong.
He loves his father and he cannot think of life without him,
His father also dotes on him and can do anything for him.
Yes, he is my son who is so loving,
And makes my life meaningful and worth living.

I had written this poem when my son was 10 years old , now he is 19 years old and is studying in second year Engineering. He is the most precious gift bestowed upon us by the almighty God.
